The Maine Frontier
Live shows

Shedding new light on these historic characters, In The Blood combines film, oral histories, photography, sound design, and a live musical soundtrack- in a live presentation- to illustrate the life, history, skills & character of the turn-of-the-century Maine lumbermen & river drivers. The live performance creates an entertaining and vivid experience, taking the viewer into the 19th century Maine woods, into a camp, and onto a river. When presented in schools, this manner of delivery alternatively exceeds standard school curriculum.

With film and oral histories, the audience can see and hear these historic characters; and by combining these mediums with live music, a history lesson becomes an entertaining event, one that when presented in schools, will creatively inspire students to appreciate history and where they come from.
